This Internet is provided over copper lines and is the entry level product. Speeds achieved will depend on how far you are from your BT Exchange, as well as the age of the infrastructure between you and the BT exchange. Typically expect around 12mbps download (enough to run a small business with a dozen staff).

vDSL or Fibre Broadband or Infinity
This 'Green Box' solution is BT's rollout of street mini exchanges. Provided over copper lines, the Internet entry point resides in the street green boxes, where it jumps onto the optical fibre network - allowing much faster speeds. Typically up to 76mbps download, this service is great for small businesses but is not suitable for running Internet Voice.

EFM or Ethernet to the Final Mile
This product is supplied over copper lines and is a step up from Fibre Broadband as it is a non-contended (ie not shared) service. This means you get exactly what you pay for all the time, and the technology has redundancy built into it. Great for running Voice and business critical systems, but price is a considerable step up from Broadband.

Fibre Internet or Leased Line
This is the 'Best In Class' Internet option. Supplied via an optical fibre to your premises, speeds range from 10mbps to a whopping 10,000mbps (10 gigabits). Usually beyond the budgets of most small businesses, this product offers reliability (via a closed fibre network) and as much Internet as you need.
Pricing for this product starts from £249 per month and is typically over a 3 year term
